I’ve been wanting to go to the Minneapolis Farmers Market with the family for awhile now. We decided to go on a whim this past weekend and really enjoyed it! The weather was beautiful and it provided a fun outing for us and Teagan.
There are a few things I really love about the Minneapolis Farmers Market; there’s a good amount of free parking, you get a great view of downtown while strolling through the market, it’s family friendly/stroller friendly and, last but not least, you get to buy fresh local produce! Check out their website for more info (Minneapolis Farmers Market).
The location off of Lyndale is open mid-April through mid-November, seven days a week, from 6am-1pm. I like that it opens so early. We literally woke up, got ready and headed out the door. We arrived around 8:30am and were there for a little over an hour, then Teagan told us it was time to go. 🙂
They have great breakfast food for purchase, like coffee and doughnuts. What I want to do the next time we go is arrive closer to lunch. Even in the morning they serve hot dogs, sandwiches, etc. It would be great to go back and try that all for lunch! There are plenty of places to sit outside and enjoy some yummy food with the family. Some areas are shaded, which is nice if you have a fair skinned baby like I do!
Most vendors at the market only take cash, so we brought $20. There are plenty of ATMs there if you need to use them as well. I seriously almost took out more money because there were so many things that I wanted to buy!
You can see what our $20 got us, along with some other pics of the beautiful veggies, fruits and flowers at the market below!

I’m bummed I already had purchased a coffee by the time we got to this place. It’s going to be my first stop the next time we go!
The flowers were my absolute favorite. Flower vendors are set up all throughout the market. So beautiful!
Until next time!
